Veneers are a thin tooth coloured and shaped shell that is bonded to the prepared natural tooth. They are used to improve the appearance of the teeth, whether this be the colour, shape or position. Veneers are normally made from a porcelain or resin-composite and can be matched to the colour of your natural teeth.

When done correctly, the preparation needed on the natural tooth can be very minimal, however in most cases some preparation to the natural tooth will be required. A minimum of two appointments will need to be carried out to complete the treatment, the first appointment being the preparation and the second being the fit and adjustment.

In some cases, an alternative treatment called composite bonding could be a better suit for the patient, this treatments involves using a composite material to correct minor repairer to front teeth, improving the look and colour.
